4 years old - 9/7/11

My sweet Jesse - I can't believe you are four years old. Where has the time gone? You are an amazing child - brilliant in fact. You learn things so quickly and can memorize things so fast! You started Cubbies this year at church and you are the only one in your class that doesn't need any help saying your memory verses - even the hard ones! Over the summer I started teaching you how to read and you caught on so fast. I'm going to be homeschooling you this year and I am excited! I love watching you master new skills.

I am so very proud of you! I cannot even begin to tell you the joy that you bring to me and this family. I love your enthusiasm and spunk. You always bring a smile to my face!

I want you to know that no matter where life takes you, you can always count on Jesus to guide you. My prayer for you has always been that you would accept Jesus as your savior at a young age and live a life that is pleasing to Him. He has amazing plans for you if you will be sensitive to His leading. He will never steer you wrong.

I love you so very much! Happy Birthday!

P.S. Sorry I didn't write this on your birthday :)

Letters

So I don't know exactly where you learned it. I know we've been working on writing your letter together. And your leapster has a couple of games that teach you to write them. Anyway - you were playing with chalk outside at church Tuesday morning and you started writing your letters!! I am so proud of you. You are such a smart boy. I know you will enjoy preschool in the fall. I am amazed at how quickly you learn things. You are growing so fast. I love you so very much!!!

Jesse/Mommy Date

Yesterday we went on our first Mommy/Jesse date. We went to Monkey Joes and we did the slides and the obstacle courses together. After we played we went to Scoops for ice cream.

I had so much fun just the two of us. You kept saying, "we're on a date". I love you so much. I know things have been different since baby Ty came home. You are adjusting so well. I am so proud of you.

I can't wait till our next date!!!!

August 2, 2009

Things have been crazy around here and I haven't had a chance to update in a long time!!!

You are growing so fast. You are wearing mostly 24 month or 2T clothing. Some of your 18 month clothes still fit. You can do so much by yourself. You don't have a sippy cup anymore. You can drink out of a big boy glass, with mommy's help. Mostly you drink out of a water bottle with a spout on it. You can climb up and down the stairs by yourself. You are learning more new words and you are beginning to form sentences.

We have begun talking about potty training. You have a froggy potty in the bathroom that we let you sit on. You are a little interested in potty training. You will tell me after you go poo poo. You say, "go poo poo" and you are always right. If I say, "Let's go potty" you go to the bathroom and when I say, "Let's change your diaper" you go to your room. You are so very smart.

You also now how to do a lot. You can pick up your toys and you are a big helper at clean up time. You help shut all the doors. You can stack block 5 and 6 high!!! You still love bouncy balls and everybody says you can sure throw a ball. You can turn the TV on and off and you are very obedient when we tell you to turn it off.

You've been saying "Unter" (hunter) for a few weeks. Another word or phrase you like to say is "WOW" or "OH Wow". You always say it with such excitement!!! It always makes me laugh!!!

You have become more vocal with "Yes" & "No". You say "No" all the time.

You also know "apple", although you don't really like to eat them. You call Zoe "E.E." and you also know "EW". "EW" is doggie poo poo. When you play in the yard and you see it, you come and tell me "EW" then you take me to it so I can pick it up.

You also know "Sheep". It sounds more like "Seep" when you say it. You can say "Cow". Another phrase you can say is "go bed". I am truly amazed at everything you have learned.
Your word total comes to: 45. WOW, that's a lot of words!!!

I am trying to help you learn your letters. So far you know "A" but we've only been working on it for a week. This week we will try "B". You are a fast learner. I sing the alphabet song to you and when I finish you try to sing it. You are so adorable.

I feel so blessed to be you mommy and I love you so very much. I can not belive you will be 2 years old in a few weeks!!!!

You learned a new game during swimming lessons called Aligator. You love to jump off anything!!! But now you can say Aligator. It sounds more like "Agate". You love to jump to me off the stairs and the counters. Daddy worries that you will jump one day when no one is paying attention and hurt yourself.

You can say Aaron and Andrew. They sound more like "Anun" and "Andu". You've started making sentences too. You will say "go a side" (outside) and "go dadu", "go mae mae", "go Ya Ya". You've started calling Grammy YaYa and we all think it's the cutest thing ever!! You even know where Ya ya works. When we pull in the parking lot you say, "Ya Ya?". It's so adorable.

That makes 35 words!!! I am so proud of you. I love you!!!

You finished your first week of swim lessons and you are doing great. You are jumping in and you love to play Alligator. You can kick your legs and you love to go under the water!!!
You are still working on blowing the bubbles but I think you can get it!!
