4 years old - 9/7/11

My sweet Jesse - I can't believe you are four years old. Where has the time gone? You are an amazing child - brilliant in fact. You learn things so quickly and can memorize things so fast! You started Cubbies this year at church and you are the only one in your class that doesn't need any help saying your memory verses - even the hard ones! Over the summer I started teaching you how to read and you caught on so fast. I'm going to be homeschooling you this year and I am excited! I love watching you master new skills.

I am so very proud of you! I cannot even begin to tell you the joy that you bring to me and this family. I love your enthusiasm and spunk. You always bring a smile to my face!

I want you to know that no matter where life takes you, you can always count on Jesus to guide you. My prayer for you has always been that you would accept Jesus as your savior at a young age and live a life that is pleasing to Him. He has amazing plans for you if you will be sensitive to His leading. He will never steer you wrong.

I love you so very much! Happy Birthday!

P.S. Sorry I didn't write this on your birthday :)

Letters

So I don't know exactly where you learned it. I know we've been working on writing your letter together. And your leapster has a couple of games that teach you to write them. Anyway - you were playing with chalk outside at church Tuesday morning and you started writing your letters!! I am so proud of you. You are such a smart boy. I know you will enjoy preschool in the fall. I am amazed at how quickly you learn things. You are growing so fast. I love you so very much!!!

I had so much fun just the two of us. You kept saying, "we're on a date". I love you so much. I know things have been different since baby Ty came home. You are adjusting so well. I am so proud of you.

I can't wait till our next date!!!!

August 2, 2009

Things have been crazy around here and I haven't had a chance to update in a long time!!!

You are growing so fast. You are wearing mostly 24 month or 2T clothing. Some of your 18 month clothes still fit. You can do so much by yourself. You don't have a sippy cup anymore. You can drink out of a big boy glass, with mommy's help. Mostly you drink out of a water bottle with a spout on it. You can climb up and down the stairs by yourself. You are learning more new words and you are beginning to form sentences.

We have begun talking about potty training. You have a froggy potty in the bathroom that we let you sit on. You are a little interested in potty training. You will tell me after you go poo poo. You say, "go poo poo" and you are always right. If I say, "Let's go potty" you go to the bathroom and when I say, "Let's change your diaper" you go to your room. You are so very smart.

You also now how to do a lot. You can pick up your toys and you are a big helper at clean up time. You help shut all the doors. You can stack block 5 and 6 high!!! You still love bouncy balls and everybody says you can sure throw a ball. You can turn the TV on and off and you are very obedient when we tell you to turn it off.

You've been saying "Unter" (hunter) for a few weeks. Another word or phrase you like to say is "WOW" or "OH Wow". You always say it with such excitement!!! It always makes me laugh!!!

You have become more vocal with "Yes" & "No". You say "No" all the time.

You also know "apple", although you don't really like to eat them. You call Zoe "E.E." and you also know "EW". "EW" is doggie poo poo. When you play in the yard and you see it, you come and tell me "EW" then you take me to it so I can pick it up.

You also know "Sheep". It sounds more like "Seep" when you say it. You can say "Cow". Another phrase you can say is "go bed". I am truly amazed at everything you have learned.
Your word total comes to: 45. WOW, that's a lot of words!!!

I am trying to help you learn your letters. So far you know "A" but we've only been working on it for a week. This week we will try "B". You are a fast learner. I sing the alphabet song to you and when I finish you try to sing it. You are so adorable.

I feel so blessed to be you mommy and I love you so very much. I can not belive you will be 2 years old in a few weeks!!!!

June 10, 2009

You learned a new game during swimming lessons called Aligator. You love to jump off anything!!! But now you can say Aligator. It sounds more like "Agate". You love to jump to me off the stairs and the counters. Daddy worries that you will jump one day when no one is paying attention and hurt yourself.

You can say Aaron and Andrew. They sound more like "Anun" and "Andu". You've started making sentences too. You will say "go a side" (outside) and "go dadu", "go mae mae", "go Ya Ya". You've started calling Grammy YaYa and we all think it's the cutest thing ever!! You even know where Ya ya works. When we pull in the parking lot you say, "Ya Ya?". It's so adorable.

That makes 35 words!!! I am so proud of you. I love you!!!

May 29, 2009

You finished your first week of swim lessons and you are doing great. You are jumping in and you love to play Alligator. You can kick your legs and you love to go under the water!!!
You are still working on blowing the bubbles but I think you can get it!!

May 25, 2009

You started swimming lessons at the YMCA tonight! I was so proud of you! You were the only one who didn't cry. You love the water. I am so amazed at how much you love it.
They are teaching you to blow bubbles in the water and kick your legs. They even taught you a game called Alligator. You stand on the edge of the pool and I say, "Alligator, Alligator 1-2-3, Alligator, Alligator jump to me" then you jump right in. You did so well!
You have 2 weeks of lessons and I think you are going to love them!!

April 19. 2009

I haven't been very good at keeping this updated.

You're growing so fast and I love watching every minute of it. You are doing so good about walking into your Sunday School class all by your self. You hardly ever cry anymore when we drop you off.

You are wearing 18-24 month clothing and a size 6 shoe. You are getting so tall! At your last check up a month ago you weighed 24 pounds and you were 24 inches tall. The doctor was very impressed at your ball throwing skills. She said your development is right on track.

You are climbing stairs all by your self now and for the most part you can go down them by yourself too. You are becoming very independent. Your daddy and I are so very proud of you.

You hold hands very well. You love to walk on your own but you know that you must hold hands with mommy or daddy. I love it when you reach for my hand and I love it when you wrap you hand around my finger and we walk together.

Your new word is Elmo. You have an elmo sprinkler and you love playing in it. When we play outside you will find it and bring it to me and say "elmo" and then I turn it on and you have a blast!!! That makes 29 words!!!

You are the light of my life. I love you very much!

April 13, 2009

Today at breakfast I said the blessing and when I finished you said, "Amen". It was the sweetest thing ever. You did it again at lunch and dinner and even when I said your bedtime prayers.

The other word you learned was Pebbles. You love to eat Fruity Pebbles cereal. Mommy and daddy do too!
There is a picture of baby Pebbles on the back of the box and you like to point to her and say "pebbles".

That's a total of 28 words! I am so proud of you.
You are growing so fast, I just can't believe it!

March 22, 2009

You slept over at Grammy's house two nights in a row. Mommy and daddy were helping with a teen event called Disciple Now and church. You were such a good boy for Grammy. She loves having you over.

You learned a few more words this weekend. First, you learned "no". I'm not too happy about this word. It means you are going to test your independence. You also learned "bubbles", "mickey", and "naina".

Mickey is for your mickey mouse cheese that you love. You know exactly where it is and you can open the drawer in the refrigerator and get it all by yourself.

"Naina is for Shaina, Ms. Connie's dog. You lave "Naina". You like to feed her your crackers! Grammy said you say a dog at her house and started saying "Naina" and Grammy didn't know what you meant a first. Then she realized you thought it was Shania.

I love you so much! I am so amazed by what you learn each day!
I love you, baby!

March 10, 2009

So, as I was going back over these posts about the words you know, I realized that I had left out some words. You have been saying "flower" and "yay" for a while now. They just didn't make it to the posts becuase I forgot them. You also know the word "hot" and "ipod". That makes 22 words!!!!

Now, an ipod is a music device that mommy and daddy have. You have a Little Einstiens music player that we call your ipod. The other day you started saying "ipod". We keep it in the car and when we put you in your carseat the first thing you do is look for your ipod and say "ipod?".

You have also mastered blowing kisses. They are so sweet and you have associated bye bye with blowing kisses!!

Also, you love to drink out of a straw. We've been giving you a straw for several months now and you've done great with it. You become a master with juice boxes. I am so proud of you.

You tried a new food yesterday - fish sticks. You loved them, ate every single one!

You love cheese too. I buy you these Mickey Mouse cheese cut outs and we keep them in the bottom drawer of the refrigerator. You know right where they are. When you want one you walk over to the frige and grunt. I'll open the door and you'll open the drawer and get your cheese.

You are such a smart boy and I love you so much!!!

February 28, 2009

You just keep learning and learning. You're 18th word was papa. At your sleepover your Grammy showed you pictures of your great nana and papa. She would say nana and papa. Eventually when she would say nana you said papa.

I am glad you had a good time at your sleepover! Grammy enjoied having you over. She said you are such a well behaved little boy.

I love you, my baby boy!

February 27, 2009

You are going to your first sleepover tonight. Daddy and I are going to a confernce at church and you are going to sleep at Grammy's house. I hope you have a good time. I will miss you very much!

You've learned 3 new words this week. mellow, stairs, and dog. You've been working on mellow and dog for a few weeks. Now we just have to work on "marsh"mellow. :)

That means you have learned 17 words:
dada, mama, kiki (kitty), cracker, nana, baby, be bu (belly button), mon (moon) ba (ball), uh oh, star, stuck, po tart (poptart), ice, mellow (marshmellow), stair and dog. I am so proud of how fast you are learning new words.

I love you baby!

February 21, 2009

We took you on your first ski trip this weekend. We went to Ashville, North Carolina. You absolutely loved the snow. Your daddy put you on his snowboard and let you sled down the hill.

You looked so cute in your snow suit and snow boots. You also learned a new word - ice. There was plenty of ice everywhere. You would pick up little pieces and throw them. When I told you it was ice, that's all you wanted to say. Ice, ice, ice. When we made it to the hotel you were still saying ice!

February 10, 2009

You've been cutting 3 of your 4 eye teeth this week. They've been working their way up for a few weeks but this week has been especially hard on you.

You've already cut one so these 3 are the last you'll cut for a little while but I know you are miserable.

You've had a runny nose and bad dirty diapers. You chew on your finger all constantly. I hope they come in soon or you won't have a finger left.

February 2, 2009

You said PopTart today. You love to eat pop tarts - just like your daddy!

I was carrying you down to breakfast and I said, "you want a pop tart?" and you said "potart" and smiled!!

I love watching you learn new things!!!

January 26, 2009

You learned "hi Five" today!!! Gramps has been trying to teach you how to do Hi Five but you just didn't get it until today.

I was playing with you and I said "give mommy hi five" and you ran right up to me and hit your hand on mine!!! It was so sweet!

January 24, 2009

Over the past few days we've been working on your animal sounds. Grammy got you a see'n say for christmas. It has animal pictures on it and when you pull the lever it makes the sound that animal makes.

You are proficient with puppy, duck and cow sounds. Tonight you picked up a book with a puppy on the front cover. When I said, "look at the puppy" you said, "arf, arf" and then you smiled at me.

You love to copy the sounds you hear on the see'n say. When it says "cheep" you make a sound close to it. Some of the sounds are hard to copy but one day soon you'll get it.

I love you, my sweet Jesse!!!

January 22, 2009

You have learned a new word and I believe it is your favorite. You have learned the word "stuck" and you know exactly what it means.

You say it all the time. When you ball goes under the couch, you say "stuck". When your blankey is in the crib and you can't reach it, you say "stuck".

You are the craziest little boy! I love you so much!

January 8, 2009

You've said your 11th word - star. When you say it, it sounds like "dar" but I know what you're talking about. Yesterday I put glow in the dark stars on a poster board and pinned it up above your bed. When you are lying in your bed you can look up and see the stars shinning on you.

Yesterday I told you they were stars and showed you where they were. Tonight I asked you where your stars were and you looked up to the ceiling and said "dar" and pointed to them.

I am amazed at how fast you are learning things. It seems like all we have to do is say something a few times and then you're copying us. It's amazing to watch you learn and discover things.

January 7, 2009

You are 16 months old and I cannot believe it!! You weigh 24 pounds and you're 33 inches long. You wear a size 5 shoe and most of your clothes are 18 months. You can still wear 12 month pants but the shirts are a little short on you (your belly sticks out!!!). You are in size 4 diapers.

You have learned to run and play duck-duck-goose. Mostly I say goose and you chase me but sometimes times you'll walk around me in a circle and then I'll say goose, but you haven't learned to let me chase you.

You can now say 10 words: dada, mama, kiki (kitty), cracker, nana, baby, be bu (belly button), mon (moon), ba (ball) and uh oh.

You have started to stomp your feet, kind of like a march or a dance. You'll get excited and just start "jumping" or stamping your feet. We call it your dance moves. You also love to jump - especially on our bed.

You are growing so fast and it really isn't fair. I love spending time with you and watching you grow.

I love you, my Jesse!!!

January 6, 2009

You learned how to say moon today. We were outside playing this afternoon and you saw the moon in the sky and pointed at it. I told you that it was the moon and after a few minutes you said "mon". One time you even called it "mama".

You are learning so much faster now. It really amazes me. I can tell you th name of something and in a few minutes you're saying it. It's totally cool!!

You are also saying ball. It sounds like "ba", so you may have actually been saying it before now and I'm just making the connection.

I love watching you grow and learn new things. I love you so much!!!

December 29, 2008

You can say belly button now and you know what it means. You will lift up your shirt and point to your belly button and say "be bu". Its so cute. You even recognize other people's belly buttons. It's so cute.

You are such a smart boy! I love you so much!!!

December 11, 2008

You have mastered a new skill today. You learned to drink juice through a straw. It is a complicated task since you are so used to tipping a cup up and juice flowing through it. With a straw you have to suck the juice up through it. It's taken you about a week to learn but I believe you've got it down!!!!

The first time we let you try it, you got very upset because it took longer for the juice to come out than it does with your sippy cup. But we kept trying and you finally got it!!!

I am so proud of you!!!

December 9, 2008

You have found your belly button. I took your shirt off after dinner because you made a huge mess. While you were playing, you stuck you finger in your belly button!! Once you found it, you kept playing with it. At one point you walked around the house with your finger in your belly button and you wouldn't take it out!!!

You are growing way too fast. You are discovering new things everyday. I love watching you grow!!!

December 2, 2008

You've learned to trick mommy and daddy now. You love marshmellows and we'll hand you one and open our mouths for you to put it in there. You'll pretend to put it in our mouth then at the last second, you'll pull your hand away and shove it into your mouth before we can get it from you. It's is too cute!!!

November 28, 2008

You have learned that there is a button inside your glow worm that makes him play music.

November 27, 2008

Someone has taught you how to wink. You've been doing it every now and then for a little while but today I caught it on film. I was taking a picture of you and daddy watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. When I snapped the photo you winked!! It's so cute.

I love it when you wink at me!!!!

November 17, 2008

You've said "cracker" a few times now. If you see the cracker box, you'll walk over to it, point and say "cacker". Boy do you love crackers. You're working on "fish". You love your goldfish crackers.

Sometimes it sounds like you're trying to say your name. Who knows? You make lots of noise and it soundd like you have something very important to say to us but we just don't understand your language. You are quite funny when you jabber. You'll walk around and point to things and sometimes you get really loud like you are upset about something.

You are growing so fast - too fast. You are my little big boy!! I love you, Jesse!!

November 13, 2008

I am amazed at what you understand. For a while now I've been able to ask you where your blankey or your milk is and you will stop what you're doing and go looking for them. It's so adorable.

Now, you've learned to shut the baby gate when we ask you. You can be in the kitchen or on the other side of the living room and we'll say, "shut the gate, Jesse" and you march right over to the gate and shut it. If it doesn't close on the first try then you keep trying until you get it.

I am so very proud of you. I love you so much!!!

November 5, 2008

Today your daddy taught you how to wave to Bye Bye!! You've been interested in what your hands can do lately. When you started playing with them, daddy taught you how to do bye, bye!!

I am so excited at how much you've grown. You are constantly learning new things. I love to watch you figure things out!!!

I love you, Jesse!!

October 23, 2008

You've mastered the phrase "uh oh". Eventually you'll learn when to use it but for now you say it and then drop whatever you're holding. It's very cute.

I am so proud of you. You are growing so fast. I absolutely love watching you learn and discover things.

September 7, 2008

You are now 1 year old. I can't believe how much you've grown over the past 12 months. You were such a little guy when you were born, 7 pounds 9 ounces. Now you are my little man, 21 pounds 12 ounces. That's 14 pounds!!! You've tripled your birth weight!!

I am so amazed at how you have developed over the past year. You can hold your own sippy cup and you can feed yourself. I used to do all that for you.

I remember watching you roll from your tummy to your back at 3 months. Then rolling from your back to your tummy at 6 months. You were crawling at 8 months and walking at 11 and a half months!!!

I remember rocking you to sleep at night and singing to you. I remember when you first smiled. I remember feeding you your first solid foods - that was fun!!!

I have enjoyed watching you grow and change!! I love you so much, my little one. Happy Birthday!!!

September 5, 2008

Today is the day you were born - 1 year ago!! I know it's not the date of your birth, but you were born on the first Friday of September and that is today!

We are celebrating your birthday tomorrow with our family. I can't wait because it's the first time you will eat cake! Miss Timmi is making you cake and it's going to be a firetruck cake!!!

I am so excited!! It's still hard to believe that a whole year has gone by! You are such a big boy and I am so proud of you!!!!

September 2, 2008

You walked today!!! I am so proud of you and you are so proud of yourself!! You walked the entire length of your bedroom!! I just can't believe it!! You have grown way too fast!! Not so long ago you were a little guy. You would just lie in my arms and now you are everywhere. You are learning new sounds that will eventually become words.

I just can't believe it! You are almost completely off baby food. I fix you cream of wheat for breakfast. You've eaten peanut butter sandwiches for lunch and I've even made you pancakes for dinner!!!

I love you so very much!!!

August 29, 2008

One week left until you turn 1!!!

You are doing awesome with out your formula. You have transitioned very well to regular milk - even without chocolate. You are eating 3 meals a day just like mommy and daddy!! You are such a good eater!! You get snacks during the day like cookies and graham crackers.

I am so proud of how much you've grown!! You are learning so much each day and I love watching you grow and develop.

You are really trying to walk. You are moving both feet now but you lose your balance easily. It won't be long until you get it though!

I love you, little man!!!!

August 15, 2008

I can't believe that you are almost 1 year old. You are standing up very well and you love to do it. I can tell you are proud of yourself. It won't be long until you're walking around all by yourself.

My sweet Jesse!! I love you so much! I can not believe how much you've grown. You are eating Cream of Wheat for breakfast and you love it. We are also trying to wean you off of your formula!! Soon you will be drinking regular milk just like mommy and daddy. Right now you don't like it too much so I add some chocolate syrup and make it chocolate milk. Yum!

I love you!!!!

August 11, 2008

You've been standing up all weekend. Daddy even thought you were going to walk on Saturday. He said you tried to move your foot, but then decided to fall to the floor and crawl instead. I am so proud of you. You truly amaze me. I love you so very much!!!!

August 8, 2008

WOW!! You are growing so fast!! You stood up today all by yourself. I was playing ball with you on the floor. I tossed the ball to you, you picked it up and then you just stood up right there. I couldn't believe it. Soon you'll be walking.

You'll be 1 in less than a month now. I ordered your birthday supplies a few weeks ago and I am in the process of mailing out your invitations. You're going to have a firetruck cake!! I can't believe a whole year has gone by.

You have changed so much!! I love watching you grow each and every day. You are a little miracle. I love you, Jesse Ryan!!!

July 25, 2008

Today you learned to copy the seagulls. Seagulls are birds that fly over the ocean and squawk and squeal.

You make a very good seagull. You have a very loud squeal!! It is so funny to listen to you.

We were out in the ocean playing, when we heard this squeal and we looked up to find out what it was ~ guess what? It was you!!! We could hear you above the ocean noise. It was so adorable!!

July 24, 2008

Today uncle Andrew and uncle Aaron went to the Daytona Speedway while we stayed back at the hotel.

You got some much needed rest. Since we've been at the beach you haven't really gotten your naps in, but today you were able to nap.

When your uncles got back, we all went to the beach and you had a lot of fun, mostly because you got your nap.

I love to watch you play in the water. You are so funny. I love you so much!!

July 22, 2008

This morning when you woke up, I took you out on the balcony and we watched the waves come in and watched the sun rise. It was very beautiful. You are very interested in the waves. They make lots of noise. When they come up on the shore they tickle your feet.

So far you are having a lot of fun. You squeal when the waves splash you. You crawl all over the sand and you even dig in it. It's quite funny.

We took lots of pictures and videos of you. I know you won't remember it but we got to make memories with you that we will cherish forever!!!

July 21, 2008

We arrived at Daytona Beach today. After we got checked in to the hotel, we took you to the ocean. You played in the sand, mostly you ate the sand. Then we took you down by the water and you played in the waves. I think you liked it. You laughed and squealed a lot.

It is so much fun getting to see your reaction to the ocean. I love you, little man!!

July 18, 2008

You are growing so very fast. You're standing very well by yourself, but you're still getting your balance. No steps yet. That's ok, it will happen soon enough.

I can't believe that we leave for the beach in 2 days. I am so excited to take you to the ocean. I hope you like it.

I bought you a few more things for the trip this week. I got you a big rubber ball to play with. It amazes me how long you will sit and play with a ball. When I gave you this one, you started throwing it to me. You are such a good thrower. You have such amazing hand/eye coordination.

You've been eating more adult food lately. I've given you oatmeal, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and even grilled cheese sandwiches. Gerber makes a baby sized ravioli and you love that. I've also given you mandarin oranges and you love them.

I can't believe how fast you're growing. You are so much fun. You get so excited and you laugh all the time. You really love your daddy. You reach for him every time you see him. You always smile and you are such a happy boy. I love you so very much. There are still times when I wonder if this is all real; if you are actually here with me. Sometimes it all still feels like a dream - too good to be true!!

My precious little boy, I love you!!!!

July 14, 2008

You said you first word today. (other than mama and dada) We were playing in your room and Little Bit came in. You looked right at him and said "kiki". Then you chased him around the room. Daddy thought it was so cute. We were both very surprised! Now every time you see Little Bit you say "kiki" and you get a big smile on your face. We are so proud of you!!

July 6, 2008

You stood all by yourself today!!! We were in your room and you pulled yourself up and let go and stood for almost 30 seconds. You were so proud of yourself!! You had a huge grin on your face.

I am so proud of you!!!!

July 5, 2008

You are growing like a weed. You never cease to amaze me. I love watching you sleep, you are so peaceful. You crawl and babble, soon you'll be walking and talking. I can't believe it.

This week you ate your first grilled cheese sandwich!! Your grandma and grandpa Austin are in town and they took us out to eat so I ordered you a grilled cheese. I split it with you and you seemed to like it. It wasn't nearly as good as daddy's grilled cheese.

You've also had mandarin oranges and goldfish crackers. You love the Fruity Cherrios and so do I!!!

You are just growing way too fast!!! I love you so much!!

July 4, 2008

Today we celebrated our Nation's birthday. We live in America. God has blessed us so much. Our founding fathers came to America in search of religious freedom. They had to fight for their independence from England. Over the years we continue to fight for that same freedom. Men and women have sacrificed their lives for America.

On this day, in 1776, our founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, securing our freedom. We celebrate that freedom every year on this day!

We went to see daddy at the fire station and then we went with Grammy and Gramps and Uncle Andrew and Uncle Aaron to watch fireworks. You just stared at the them in the sky. The fireworks were lots of different colors and you loved them!!

I just loved watching you watch the fireworks. You were so amazed by them.

I can't believe that in 3 days you'll be 10 months old. It's crazy how fast time goes by.

I love you so very much!! I can't wait to take you next year to see more fireworks!!

June 28, 2008

I am sorry I didn't write to you last week. Life has been crazy. You are exploring everything and I am just amazed at how much you learn each day.

You officially have 7 teeth now and you may be cutting another one soon. You've been running a slight fever ~ we'll see. You don't like for us to look in your mouth so I'm not sure but you still have many more to go.

Tuesday was Daddy's birthday and I made pancakes, sausage and eggs. I let you try a few bites of my eggs and you liked them. But you loved the pancakes I made for you. They were apple cinnamon pancakes with a little bit of butter and some syrup. You mad the funniest faces and you kept squealing when I didn't feed you fast enough.

Yesterday I made you a blueberry waffle and you loved it too. This morning I made you big boy, apple cinnamon oatmeal. You also had some toast and fruity cherrios and diced apples. WOW!! You had a big boy breakfast and you loved every bit of it.

I am so proud of you. You are growing so fast and eating all this new stuff. Grammy gave you some of her spaghetti too. You've had some baby food spaghetti but you liked her big boy spaghetti too. You've also eaten baby mac and cheese, and baby lasagna.

You are crawling so fast now. You pull yourself up and sit back down again with such ease. You have been walking along the furniture for several weeks now, but you're trying to stand by yourself. You'll pull yourself up and then let go for a few seconds before sit down again. It won't be long before you can walk on your own.

I can't believe how fast you're growing. Sometimes it seems like just yesterday you were 1 week old and other times it seems like we've had you forever. I can't believe in a little more than 3 months you'll be 1 year old. It doesn't seem possible.

I can't wait until we go to the beach. We leave in 4 weeks. You are going to love it. We're going to sit in the sand and let the water splash us. I know you will love the ocean.

My sweet little Jesse boy!! I love you so very much. You are such a wonderful little boy and I am so proud to be your mommy!!

I love you!!!

June 13, 2008

I took you to your doctors appointment on Monday and you weigh 19 pounds and you're 29 inches long.

You are eating so well and you love the new things we are letting you try. I made you a smoothie and you absolutely LOVED it!! You ate half of my smoothie and I put some of it in your bottle.

I gave you a nectarine and you ate the whole thing!! I can't even eat the whole thing!! You love strawberries and apples too!!!

Yesterday I took you to meet your cousins Benjamin and Parker. They are twins like uncle Andrew & uncle Aaron but they are only 4 months old. You were fascinated by them. After that we stopped by Hailey and Michael's house to visit with Miss Hannah!!

You are growing like a weed!! I went through your clothes again yesterday and packed up some more outfits that don't fit you anymore. I picked up a few more outfits for you this past weekend. I got you a new church outfit and some shorts and sleeveless shirts.

If I haven't said so lately ~ I LOVE being your mom!!! You always bring a smile to my face and I love to hold you and cuddle you. I love taking care of you, it is the most rewarding job in the whole world!!!

I love you!!!

June 7, 2008

I can't believe that you are 3 months closer to being 1 year old. WOW!!

Your teeth are still coming in and you are in a lot of pain. I hate that you hurt, but it will be over soon.

Because you don't feel well, you have let me rock you to sleep every night this week. Rocking you is my favorite thing in the whole world and I am so thankful that you let me do it.

You are learning how to climb stairs. You can climb one but you get a little scared. It won't be long before you climb them all.

I gave you a whole apple to eat the other day. I ate the skin off and gave it to you. You held it like a big boy and you loved it!!! When I go to the store I'll pick up some other fruits that you can try eating.

I love you so very much!!!

June 2, 2008

WOW!!! You haven't cut any teeth since the end of February and then two more at the same time!! No wonder you are in so much pain!!!

Before you know it, you'll be eating a big mac!!!

I am so proud of you!!!

May 31, 2009

You got to meet your cousin Lily again today. You met her at Christmas but you were so little.

Lily lives in Chicago, that's in Illinois. She is 7 months older than you.

You guys got to play together. You had so much fun. Lily gave you kisses and you liked her hair. Everytime she would sit next to you to tried to grab her hair.

I hate that they live so far from us. I wish you could see each other more often.

May 30, 2008

WOW!! You are cutting your third tooth. It looks like it may be one of your "I" teeth. They are the sharp on on the top. You have been in a lot of pain. I feel so bad for you. I hate that you have to go through all the pain. Hopefully it won't take long for your teeth to come in.

This week you've learned how to walk along the furniture so it definitely won't be long before you are walking on your own!! You are crawling and pulling yourself up like a champ!! I am so proud of you!!

It's hard to believe that in one week you will be 9 months old and 3 months closer to being 1 year old!! I am amazed at everything you've accomplished!!

I love you so very much!!

May 26, 2008

Today we celebrated Memorial Day. It's a day when we remember all the men and women who are or have served in the Military. Those men and women have fought to protect the freedom we hold so dear!!

We took you to the annual Dacula Memorial Day Parade and you had a lot of fun. You got to see floats and cars and firetrucks and lots of people!!

May 23, 2008

WOW!!! It seems like all of a sudden you're developing so fast. Almost as if learning to crawl has opened up this whole new world of exploration. You have been pulling yourself up for a week now and you even let go of the coffee table and stood all by yourself for a few seconds!! I am so proud of you and absolutely amazed at your development.

You are able to take steps when we hold your hands and you go everywhere in your walker. Soon you'll be able to walk on you own.

It's hard to believe that in less than 4 months you'll be a year old!!! It doesn't seem like that much time could have possibly passed!! You are growing and changing everyday. I look at the pictures we took of you at the hospital and I can't believe that you are that same baby!!

I love you so very much!! You are such a blessing in our lives and we thank God for you each and every day!!!

May 22, 2008

Today, you swam in Grammy's swimming pool!! You were so funny. You tried to drink the water!! I would hold you in the water and you would kick your little legs!! I put you in the baby float and your uncle Aaron and I pushed you back and forth to each other. You enjoyed it so much. You are such a good swimmer!!!

May, 16, 2008

You have accomplished a lot this week!! Your crawling is getting better by the day. Soon you'll be racing across the floor!!

Last night we had to lower the mattress in your crib. We had put you in your crib to take a nap and when we checked on you, you had pulled yourself up and were looking over the side of the crib!!!

Crawling and pulling yourself up all in one week!!! I am so proud of you.

I went through all of the videos we had taken of you since you were born. You have grown so much in the past 8 months. It is truly amazing. But it makes me sad too, because you aren't content to just lay in my arms or take a nap with me anymore.

I can't believe how fast you are growing and how fast time is flying by - it seems unfair. I want to keep you as my little baby forever. Well, maybe not forever, but just a little bit longer.

You are so precious and I love you so very much!!!

May 11, 2008

I am so thankful to be your mommy!!

You started crawling today!!!!

We cam home from church and I tried to take a nap with you but you were so fussy. So, I took you into your room and set you on the floor. You started making motions toward crawling so I grabbed the video camera and guess what?? You did it!!! You've been trying so hard the last few weeks and you finally got it. I am so proud of you!!!

I video taped you crawling several times and one of the times you laughed the whole way across your room!! You were so proud of yourself. It was like you knew what you wanted to do but you just couldn't get it until today!!!

What a mother's day present!!! I am so proud of you. You are growing so fast and I am thankful that I get to watch every single minute of it!!!

I love you, Jesse!!!

May 7, 2008

WOW!!! Only 4 more months until you are 1 year old!!

I can't wait to start planning your party!!! It will probably be a swim party at Grammy's house.

Grammy is opening the pool this weekend. I can't wait to take you swimming. I bet you'll love it!!

I say it all the time, but you are growing up so fast. I love you so much!!!

May 2, 2008

I can't believe that you will be 8 months old next week. Time is going by so quickly.

You are still learning the art of crawling. You are definitely getting better at it. I think, within the next couple of weeks we'll see you crawling!!

You can stand up by yourself for 2 seconds - then you fall down!! But, everyday day I hold you up to let you practice standing. Before you know it you'll be walking. You love to hold on to the side of your crib and stand up to look over the edge. You can't quite pull yourself up but if we help you up you can stand there holding onto the side if the crib for a few minutes before falling over.

You are so aware of your surroundings - nothing escapes you. You are constantly looking around at everything. You absolutely love to be outside and when I take you for walks you just stare at the trees. You are mesmerized by the world around you.

I took you to the park today to swing and to take pictures and to go for a walk. You love to swing!! We must have taken over a hundred photos today. It was beautiful today and you love the camera!! I got a lot of really good shots!! We also got to see a turtle and two baby geese!! I got pictures of the geese but the turtle swam away before I could get a picture.

I love you more than you will ever know. I am so truly blessed to be your mommy. You are our little blessing from God. I am excited about the future and being able to watch you grow into the young man God has designed for you to be.

I love you, Jesse Ryan!!!

April 26, 2008

Today you said your first word: Da Da!!! Although you didn't actually say it to your daddy, it still counts.
I called him at the fire station to tell him and he was so happy!! He said he loves you so very much!!
I am so proud of you. I wanted you to say "da da" first because you get to spend so much time with me and I wanted him to have this moment first.
You are such a awesome litte boy! I love you so very much!!

April 25, 2008

Crawling is just around the corner!! You are scooting more and more, still backwards though. Any day now, you'll start crawling and that will be the end of your baby days.

You got to eat your first strawberry today. We took you to pick strawberries yesterday and we made home-made strawberry ice cream. I bought you these things that help you to eat fruits that aren't smashed up. You put the fruit into a mesh bag and then put the lid on it. Then you can suck on the fruit or chew on it and you won't choke.

You made a funny face when I gave you the strawberry. Sometimes strawberries are tart and sometimes they are sweet. But you seemed to like it - you ate 2 of them.

The weather is getting warmer and in a few weeks Grammy will open her pool and I'll take you swimming in the big pool. I hope you love to swim. Mommy and Daddy sure do.

Oh, Jesse, I just love you so very much!! I am truly amazed at your growth over the past 7 months. You are growing and changing every day and I am so glad that God has allowed me to be with, to witness first-hand all of your changes.

I love you my precious!!

April 22, 2008

I've been thinking a lot lately and I wanted you to know what our prayers and hopes for you are.

We pray every night:

~that God will give us the wisdom and strength to raise you in a way that honors and pleases Him

~that you will accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior at a young age and that you will never doubt your salvation

~that you will love God and always seek His will for your life and always look to Him for everything

~that you will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's prompting

~that God will give you wisdom and bless you

~that you will remain pure until your marriage and that God will bless you with a wonderful, godly wife that will treat you like a king and that you will treat her like a queen and that God will bless your marriage

~that God will use you to imapct the world for Him and that you always stand up for what is right.

~that no matter what God's plan is for you, that we will encourage you to do His will to the best of your ability

Jesse~
God's has a purpose and a plan for you. You have to seek Him; to spend time reading your Bible and praying in order to understand it. But we want you to know that no matter what it is, no matter where He leads you, we will always love and support you.
We can't wait to see what God has in store for you.

We love you!!

Mommy & Daddy

April 18, 2008

WOW!! We finally got to see you roll from your back to your tummy on Wednesday!! You've done it almost everyday since. You are mobile but not crawling yet. When you are on your tummy, you can turn around in a circle. You can move backwards and that frustrates you. You have learned how to get on your tummy when you're in a seated position and how to sit up if you're lying down. You can get up on your hands and knees but all you've been able to do so far is rock back and forth. It's just a matter of time until you crawl!!!

You are very much aware of your surroundings and you know what you want. You actually look at a toy and then move in that direction and reach for it. You sometimes get upset when you try and try but you just can't get it. But that's what's going to eventually make you crawl.

You are just growing so fast. You have lost your infant face and know you have the face of a big boy!! I can't believe how fast it's gone by. In about 2 weeks you'll be 8 months old. It's amazing to watch you grow and change everyday.

You were sick again earlier this week and the doctor gave us some medicine to help with your cough, but I had to take you back again yesterday. Miss Lori gave a nebulizer. That's a fancy machine that has medicine that you have to breathe in. We have to hold this mask up to your face so you can breathe in the vapors. It only lasts about 7 minutes and you did very well. You hardly cried. Miss Lori says that most babies wiggle and squirm and scream but you just cried a little. I am so proud of you!!

You are such a happy boy. We are so blessed that you are our baby. We just love you so much. Sometimes Daddy will look at you and ask you if you know just how much you are loved. I think you know. You are so amazing!! I can't wait until you can run and play and wrap your arms around us. We'll tell each other just how much we love each other.

I love you, my little boo boo bear!
You are the light of my life.

April 11, 2008

WOW!! You a growing way too fast. It's like each day your face is becoming more and more like a little boy face and not a baby face.

You are such a happy boy!! You love to laugh and smile. You have started making this new "vroom, vroom" noise - like you're pretending to be a car. It makes me laugh!!

Grammy was on Spring vacation from school this week so we did a lot with her. On Wednesday, we had to do some work in the yard so we put you in your playpen outside with us. You absolutely love being outside!!! Grammy bought you a little boy swimming pool today and she is looking for a swin gset to put up in her back yard. We will have so much fun this summer. I can't wait!!

You are eating so much big boy food. You LOVE sweet potatoes! Each morning I feed you your bottle and once you're done with that I give you oatmeal with brown sugar and some fruit! YUM! For lunch and dinner you get a bottle and some meat and veggies!!! You love chicken and turkey!! This week we're going to try some new kinds of chicken and turkey - like chicken noodle, and turkey and rice. I hope you'll like them. You are such a good eater. I am so proud of you!!

We still haven't seen you roll from your back to your tummy :(. You are starting to understand the whole crawling thing. You still move backwards but you are trying to get up on your knees. You just have to get your rhythm! I can't wait for you to crawl. Although - it gets you one step closer to walking which ultimately get you one step closer to College. :)

You have very good hand/eye coordination!! You pick things up very well. I love it when you see something and you reach and reach for it, until you finally get it.

You are my little miracle and I love you so very much. I am so blessed to be able to be home with you everyday and to watch you grow and learn new things!! It is so exciting!!

I love you so much!!!!

April 7, 2008

I can not believe that you are 7 months old. It really does seem like yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital. Grammy reminded me that you are now more than half a year old. In 5 months you will be 1 year old. Daddy and I are already beginning to make plans for your party!! I can't wait.

Grammy bought you little boy shoes at the store on Friday. She got you a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of brown church shoes. You look so cute in them.

I was thinking back to the day you were born and I told Grammy that I wish we could go back and start over. I only wish that because I feel like I didn't have a clue what I was doing with you. You were so tiny and being that you were our first baby, I was scared.

I guess that's what makes the first child so special - we were both learning each other for the first time.

Oh, Jesse - I love you so much!! You are growing and changing everyday and I love being able to watch you grow.

I LOVE YOU!!!

March 28, 2008

You will be 7 months old in just a few weeks!!! WOW, I can't believe it!!

I bought you some Chicken last week and some Squash and a Banana, Plum & Grape mixture. You seemed to like the chicken - it smells like cat food to me. You love your vegetables and fruits.

I also let you try some pudding this week - you liked it too!!! Last Sunday we gave you some of grammy's mashed potatoes. You liked them very much but you had a hard time going to sleep Sunday night. We decided - no more potatoes until you're old enough to run off all your energy!!!

I am pretty sure you rolled from your back to you tummy in crib this week - but again - you did it when we weren't watching. One of these days I'll catch you rolling over!!!

I got you these baby snacks called Puffs. They are furit flavored and they dissolve in your mouth so you won't choke on them. They help you learn how to chew. You like them ok. They have a funny texture so you have to get used to them. You try to pick them up but once they are in your hand, you have a hard time getting them into your mouth. You'll get it soon.

Yesterday I bought you a new BIG BOY car seat. You seem to like it. You cried at first but then you fell right to sleep!!

You are such a good boy!! I love you so much!!! You are learning so much new stuff. You just look around - examining the world around you!!

I love watching you learn!!! I love you!!

March 23, 2008

You didn't get to go to church this morning for Easter because you had a fever and you were very cranky and needed your rest.

We are going over to Grammy's for Easter lunch. She has an Easter present for you!!!

I love you, my sweet boy!!!

March 22, 2008

Today all of mommy's family is getting together to spend some time with each other and to celebrate Easter!

Easter is actually tomorrow, but Sundays are so busy we decided to have it today!

Easter is the day we celebrate Jesus' resurrection. You see, Good Friday is the day that Jesus died on the cross for you and for all the people of the world. Then on Sunday morning, when Jesus' friends went to the tomb, they found the stone had been rolled away and Jesus was not in the tomb. He had risen from the dead!!

Easter is the day we remember what Jesus did on the cross for us.

March 21, 2008

We went to your new doctor today. You had to get your 6 month shots - not fun!! You weigh 16.5 pounds and you are 26.5 inches long!!! WOW!!!

You are getting to heavy to carry around in your carry seat so I think in the next couple of weeks we'll try to get you a new "BIG BOY" car seat!!!

You are just growing like a weed!! We're are going tomorrow morning to get you another pair of swim trunks - just so you'll have a bigger size in case you grow out of your other pair before the summer is over.

You love taking naps in mommy and daddy's bed!! You love to cuddle with our sheets. I think it's because they smell like us. Lately you have liked sleeping on your back. I'm not sure why but if I put you on your tummy you tend to push yourself up and try to crawl.

You're still working on rolling from your back to your tummy. You'll get it soon.

You are eating very well. We have started buying you stage 2 foods, because there are more choices and larger portions. Your doctor says we can start you on chicken and turkey. And she even says you can have some of mommy and daddy's food - as long as we mash it up really well!!

I love you so much, my little Jesse!! You are such a blessing to our lives!!
I love you -- I love you -- I love you!!!!

March 17, 2008

You ave learned how to copy us!!!

I let you sit in the tub without the seat. I would splash the water and you would copy me. You would lift your hand up and then hit the water and spalsh it everywhere!!! Now your bathtime takes a little longer because you love to play in the water!!!!

Today, while you were sitting up on the floor, I gave you a ball to play with. I sat in front of you while you played. One time you pushed the ball and it come to me. So, I tossed it into your lap. I clapped and said "Yay, Jesse!!". You smiled and giggled and then - you pushed it to me again!! So I tossed it back and cheered again. And you know what?? You pushed it to me again!! We played catch for almost 15 minutes!!!

You are a very good copier!! I am so proud of you!!! You never cease to amaze me!!!

March 17, 2008

You've been sitting up on your own for a whole week. You have gotten very good at it. When you started sitting we had to stay close in case you got wobbly and fell over. But, now, well -you are such a champ!! You can sit all by yourself. You still fall over but we're always close by to make sure you're okay.

You started holding your small bottles a few weeks ago, but you couldn't quite hold the big ones by yourself. Last week you started holding them better and now you can hold the big ones too!!! We still have to help you a little bit, but you've got the hang of it.

I took a 2 hour nap with you yesterday. You've been a little restless lately and you've had some trouble falling a sleep at nap time. So, I started laying down with you in the big bed - just until you fall asleep. But yesterday you were just so restless and tired that I stayed with you the whole nap.

I love to cuddle with you. You are absolutely precious. I rocked you to sleep several nights last week. I love it when you nestle your head in my neck.

Oh, Jesse - I love you so so very much!!!

March 14, 2008

Well - you started sitting up all by yourself on Monday and now it's all you want to do. You would rather be sitting up than lying down.

I think you are cutting some new teeth because you have been very irritable the past few days and you've been chewing on everything. You are actually chewing on teething rings. When you cut your first two teeth, you wouldn't have anything to do with the teething rings.

We gave you peas this week and you liked them better than you liked the green beans. I think that's because the green beans are thicker than the other veggies we've given you.

You are drinking water and apple juice and you love it. You still eat 6 ounces of formula 4 times a day and you get your fruits and vegetables at lunch and dinner.

You have been in stage 3 diapers for about 2 weeks now. I have packed up most of your newborn and 0-3 month clothes, along with your pacifiers. You haven't taken a passy in months. You'd rather have your thumb and that's fine with us. It's so much cuter that way!!!

You've begun to play peek-a-boo with us. If I put a blanket on your head, you pull it off and smile at me. We played peek-a-boo for almost 10 minutes tonight.

You are very interested in the world around you. I've been taking you on walks outside and you love to sit in your stroller and look at the trees and sky. I hung up your swing outside last Sunday after church. We went outside and Daddy took pictures of you swinging in the swing. You loved it! Really, I just think you like to be outside!! That's great, because Mommy and Daddy like to be outside too! We also let you slide down the slide. I put you at the top and then I'd hold you as you slid down. You liked that too!!

I started bathing you in the big boy tub!! You were out-growing your baby tub. A few weeks ago I got a bath-tub seat for you. The first time I put you in it, you cried and cried. We decided to wait a for a few weeks to try it again. This time you loved it!! You giggled and tried to catch the bubbles.

I hope that means you'll love the swimming pool too!!! We are going to have so much fun this summer!!!

Jesse - You are growing so fast!! I am so proud of you!!! I love you so much!!!!

March 12, 2008

I started working on your scrapbook today. I went back and printed off all my journal entries to put in the book.

I was amazed as I read them. I was worried that I would forget how little you were and how you looked lying in my arms.

But as I re-read all the entries, I was overjoyed to see just how well I remembered those times.

I love you so much!!!

March 7, 2008

I can not believe that you a six months old. What's even more unbelieveable is that in 6 more months you'll be 1 year old!!! It doesn't seem like that mouch time has passed since you were born.

You are growing so fast. In the past two weeks you have started doing so much new stuff. You are starting to scoot on the floor. Right now, you end up scooting backwards but in a few weeks you'll get the hang of it and you'll start moving forward. You try to scoot even when someone is holding you!!!

You laugh and talk all the time. You have learned to scream. Not like crying, but every now and then you'll get tickled and let out a shriek. It is the cutest thing.

You are trying so hard to roll from your back to your tummy. I am almost positive that you did it the other day - but I wasn't watching!! :( I tried to get you to do it again but you wouldn't do it for me.

You are eating very well. You love your vegetables and fruits. This past week we started you on green beans. It was the first time you made a face at your food. But by the end of the week - you loved them too!!! Next we'll try peas - yum!

I got you a high chair today. I've been feeding you in your swing but I am afraid that you'll get it messy so I haven't let you "play" with your food. Now that we have the high chair, I can let you experiment with your fruits and veggies!!

I also picked up an outside swing for you. I can't wait to get it set up. I am so excited for spring and summer to get here. Grammy picked up a hat and matching swim trunks for you. I got the matching shirt and another hat for you. We have to protect you from the sun!! In July, we are going on a vacation to Daytona Beach in Flordia. It will be your first road trip and your first trip to the beach. I can not wait. We are going with Grammy, Gramps and uncle Andrew and uncle Aaron. It will be so much fun. We also have a day trip planned in May. We're going to Stone Mountain for your Nana and Papa's 50th wedding anniversary. You'll get to meet some of your relatives from Pennsylvania.

Oh, Jesse!! I love you so much. You are such a wonderful boy and you are so much fun!!! I love your precious smile and everything about you!!! I love you!!!!

February 22, 2008

I am so sorry I didn't write in the journal last week. I feel so horrible about it. However you develpoment has slowed a little and I don't want to write the same thing each week!
That is not the case this week!! We are now feeding you sweet potatoes and you love them!! You have learned to pull your socks off. You are still trying to get your toes into your mouth. Your legs aren't quite long enough to reach your mouth - but you sure do try!!! You are getting so close to rolling from your back to your tummy!!! I have a feeling that once you master that, it won't be long until you crawling. WOW!!! But perhaps the most exciting thing that happened this week happened on Wednesday and then again today!!! Your first tooth began to appear on Wednesday and the second one started coming in today!! It makes me a little sad because it means that my little baby boy is growing up. But I am so proud of how well your growing and changing each day!!! I feel tremendously blessed to be able to stay at home with you and to witness all these miraculous milestones!!! I love you so much!!! You giggle almost all the time and you love to eat your baby food!! You are such a blessing to our lives!!! Sometimes I wonder if you realize just how much you are loved?? I cannot wait til the day when you can wrap your little arms around my neck and say, "Mommy, I love you!" I will probably cry that day - but it will be because I am so happy and blessed by you - my little Jesse!!!!

February 8, 2008

So, I took you back to the doctor for a follow up visit and she sent us to the hospital for a chest x-ray - just to make sure that you don't have pnemonia.
You are eating apples and carrots very well and I think this week we'll add some bananas!! You are growing so fast. I can't believe that you are 5 months old. In 7 months - you'll be 1 year old!!! Time is flying by.
You still aren't feeling too well and neither am I. I think we both have the same virus. I just want us to get better soon. Daddy has been taking very good care of us.
Grammy took care of you yesterday because I had a kidney infection and needed some rest. She loves you so much.
You are rolling over like crazy! You love to play with your toes. You are holding your toys very well and you even reach out to grab them. You can hold your little bottle. And you love your apple juice. You are growing way to fast!!! I love you!!

February 7, 2008

WOW!! You are growing so fast! You are eating baby food very well. You grab at everything and anything that fits - goes right into your mouth! You love to grab your feet! You are learning so much! You weigh 15.5 pounds! You laugh and giggle all the time. You are such a happy boy! You are getting better at sitting up on your own. You still need some help but you'll get it soon! I love you so much!!!

February 6, 2008

I had to take you to the doctor today because you had a fever of 101.4. Doctor Gross said you have a viral infection and it has to run it's course. I am sorry you don't feel well. You are coughing a lot. We're giving you plenty of love and care to help you get better. I love you so much!!! I just want you to feel better.

February 1. 2008

Alright, you are eating very well now. When I put the bib on, you open your mouth and make happy noises. You open your mouth even before the spoon comes near it. You smile and make lots of noises when I feed you. You love your cereal!! This week we introduced you to applesauce. You loved the sweet taste of the apples!! Next week we're going to try a vegetable, maybe sweet potatoes or carrots. Yum! You grab at your toes all the time and you love to play with your feet. You are rolling over all the time but you still haven't mastered rolling from your back to your tummy. But it will happen soon!! You laugh all the time and I love it when you simle at me. You are growing like a weed and I still can't believe how fast it's going by. Sometimes I just stare at you and I wonder "how can this be?". You are about to be 5 months old and I sometimes I still find myself thinking that this is all a dream. You are so perfect. I love your nose and little mouth and your hands and feet - I love everything about you!!!! You never cease to amaze me. You are a little miracle and I love you so very much!!! I am so proud of you!!!!

WOW!!! I can't believe that 20 weeks have passed since you were born!! You are squiggling everywhere and you love to play with your feet! You are growing so fast!! You are getting better at rolling from your back to your tummy. You can make it about halfway - til you're on your side - and then you roll back to your back. I think it's because you can't quite get past your shoulder. But it won't be long now. You wiggle your hips back and forth, you are so close!!!
You are laughing all the time!! I've been feeding you cereal once a day since Wednesday. You make such a mess, but you seem to like eating from a spoon!!! Next week we'll try some fruits, maybe apples!!!
I love you!!!!

January 23, 2008

I tried again today to feed you cereal from a spoon. You did much better today although you are still very messy!!!
I think this weekend I'll pick up some baby food for you to try!!! Maybe I'll get some apples and bananas, yum!!!

January 19, 2008

So much has happened this week. You went to the doctor on Tuesday for some more shots. You weigh 14 pounds, 6.5 ounces and you are 25 inches long!!! WOW!! 2 pounds and 2 inches in 2 months. You are growing way too fast. You also got your first snow this week, twice!! It snowed on Wednesday and again today! You justed starred at the snow falling. I can't wait till you can play in it. You and daddy can make a snowman together!! Today we tried feeing you rice cereal from a spoon. That was very interesting and messy!!! Everytime I'd put the spoon in your mouth, you'd try to stick your fingers in there too. We'll try it again next week. You have discovered your feet!!! You love to hold them and pull them up to your face. You have two sets of p.j.'s that have faces on the feet and you love to put your legs up in the air and look at the bear or duck faces. You roll your hips from side to side and soon you'll roll from your back to your tummy. You are doing very well rolling from your tummy to your back! Then you'll start crawling. I can't wait! You are jumping like crazy in your jumperoo! You laugh all the time!! You are such a happy baby! You are sitting up better and better each day! You sit very well in your bumbo seat and when we sit behind you. Soon you'll be sitting on your own!!! I love you so much!!! I am so proud of you!!!!

January 11, 2008

You are now 4 months old and learning new things everyday. You are still teething. You chew on everything you can get into your mouth. I think you might chew your fingers right off your hand! I hope it doesn't take too much longer for your tooth to come in. I know it hurts you very much, but you are doing do good. I am so proud of you. You are talking more and more each day. You even laugh!!! You are still discovering your feet. You haven't quite realized that they are yours or what you can do with them. You lift your legs into the air and stare at your feet. Sometimes I help you by putting your hands on your toes. It will probably be another few weeks before you really find them. You discovered your hands and fingers several weeks ago and you love to suck your thumb. You won't really take a passy anymore beacuse you love that thumb. You are sitting up pretty good but not yet by yourself. I don't think your legs are quite long enough to help support you. You are lifting your head up very well when you are on your tummy. Soon you will be crawling. I can't wait but I'm a bit sad because you're growing way to fast. But, I love you and I am excited to watch you grow.

January 4, 2008

You are almost 4 months old!!! You are growing so fast!! You chew on your finger and your passy now that you are teething. You are sitting up pretty well. You still need someone to sit behind you to help keep you up. You are reaching for things more and more each day. You love to hold things in your hands. You pull things up to your face so that you can get a better look at it. It is hard to believe that it's been a year since we found out that you were coming. You are my little miracle! I love watching you grow and learn new things. I still read to you and pray for you every night. I feed you and then I rock you to sleep every night. It's one of my favorite things to do. I am so proud of you and I love you so much!!!

January 1, 2008

Guess What!!!!

You are cutting your first tooth!! I found it this afternoon. I was looking at your gums because we knew it could be any day that you'd start teething. I noticed that part of your gum was bright red and I could see where your tooth is going to pop out. You have been chewing on you fingers lately and making lots of bubbles with your spit. And you've been a little cranky lately. So we gave you some medicine and a teething ring and you felt much better. I just hope it doesn't take long for your teeth to come in. I know it will hurt but we'll try to make it as painless as possible.

I love you sweet boy!!!!

December 28, 2007

WOW!!! You are nearly 4 months old. You've celebrated your first Christmas and in a few days you'll celebrate your first new year!!! I can't believe that it's 2008 already!! I can't believe that you are almost 4 months old!! My how time flies. You are talking a lot more now. You love to coo and you make all sort of funny sounds. You laugh and smile all the time. You have started this new thing -- I call it singing. I was singing to you the other day and you started cooing but it wasn't like when you talk to me. You were holding out your sounds like you would hold out a musical note. And you made lots of sounds for a long time. It was so cute. It was like you were trying to sing with me.

You are still finding your feet. You love to kick them and push them up to the ceiling. Soon you will be grabing at them and pulling your socks off. You have also started playing "shy" with us. When someone is holding you and they smile at you, you smile back and hide your face in their shoulder. It is the cutest thing ever!!!

You are sitting very well when you are supported, so it won't be long unil you can sit on your own. You love to be in your jumperoo. It helps you with learning to sit and it helps to strengthen your leg muscles. Soon you will be crawling and then --- walking!!!
I love you so much!!! You have been such a good boy with all the holidays and busyness of the season. I am so proud of you!!!!

December 25, 2007

Today was your first Christmas. Christmas is a special day when we celebrate Jesus' birthday.

I'm not sure why - but we give each other gifts on Jesus' birthday. You got a lot of really nice toys from your grammy & gramps and your grandma & grandpa Austin. You got a Jumperoo - it's a thing we set you in and your feet touch the floor so you can learn to use your legs to push yourself up. It has rain forest animals that move and things that light up. You like it a lot. Grammy & Gramps got you your first Bible. It was a long day but you did very well. Next year will be more fun for you because you will be able to open your own presents. I can't wait. I love you so much!!

December 21, 2007

You are still mastering the art of rolling over. Right now you can roll from your tummy to your back and soon you will be able to roll from your back to your tummy. You are slowly discovering your feet. When I lay you on your back you lift your legs into the air and kick your feet. It won't be long until you reach out and grab them. You are beginning to try to grasp things with your hands. You will hold on to things if we put them in your hands but lately you have been trying to grab things that you see. Last night you were looking at an object on my shirt and after a few minutes, you tried to grab it. Sometimes you try to grab my finger when I move it across your view. You love to have a blankey next to your face. Earlier this week, when you would cry I would put a blankey next to your cheek and give you your passy and you would instantly stop crying. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. You are sitting up very well when we hold you but you still have a few more weeks until you can sit by yourself.
You are growing up so fast. I love you so much!!!

December 14, 2007

Wow! You are growing so fast. You can sit up as long as we hold or support you. You roll over alot, but so far I am the only one who has seen you do it. You are very talkative. You coo all the time and you do this thing that kind of sounds like a laugh. It's funny. We've started giving you 6 ounces at each feeding.

You have gotten really good at sleeping through the night. Most of the time you sleep for 10-12 hours, but occasionally you'll get up around 5am.

You love to suck your fingers and sometimes you try to stick your whole hand in your mouth.

I love you so much. I hate that you are growing so fast but I am also excited about the new things you will be learning and doing very soon. I still read to you and pray for you each night at bed time. I love you so so very much.

Tomorrow you will be going to your first wedding. Your cousin Jared is marrying Jana and she will be your new cousin. They love you very much too. Everybody loves you!!!

December 13, 2007

You did it again today!! You were sleeping in your crib and I heard you crying. When I went in to check on you, you had rolled over on your back!!! I was beginning to wonder if you'd do it again. I am so proud of you.

December 11, 2007

You rolled over for the first time today. It took you about 10 minutes to roll all the way over. You laid on your side for a while. Then you were in between your side and your back. Then, finally, you were on your back. I got the whole thing on camera. Now you just have to keep it up and get better at it. I am so proud of you!!! You are growing up so fast. I love you so much.

December 7, 2007

It's hard to believe that you are 3 months old. Time has flown by. You found your thumb this week. It is so cute. At first you would only find it when you were on your stomach. But by the end of the week, you were sucking it all of the time. You are holding your head up longer now and soon you'll be sitting by yourself. You can sort of sit supported, but you tend to sink. You sit very well in your bumbo chair. You giggle and coo all the time. I took you to have your 3 month photos made. You did so well and your pictures were gorgeous. It's like you knew what was going on and you posed for them. You are adorable. I still read to you every night and rock you to sleep. I love our special time each night. You are so precious to me and I love you so much.

November 30, 2007

It's hard to believe that you are almost 3 months old.

Your focus is amazing and you track objects and people very well. You are still discovering your hands. You hold them up in front of your eyes and look at them. You love to put them in your mouth and "chew" on them. You have finally found your thumb (again). You used to put it in your mouth all the time. Then it was like you forgot about it and now you've discovered how to put it in your mouth again.

You love to hold things in your hands. Sometimes you pull on your pants leg or you'll grab your blanket and chew on it. It is so cute.

You've been sleeping very well at night and you no longer wake up at 5am for a feeding. You go to bed around 9pm and last night you slept until 7am this morning. You still whimper around 5 but all you need is your passy and your back rubbed and you go right back to sleep. Sometimes you "talk" in your sleep (that's what daddy calls it) but it sounds more like your barking. It is so cute.

I love our nightly mommy/baby time. I love to read to you and I love holding you and rocking you to sleep. You are so precious. I love you so much!!!

November 23, 2007

I know I say it every week -- but I can't believe it's been 11 weeks since you were born. You are growing so fast. You are holding your head up really well now. I bought you toy that helps when you're on your tummy. It has a mirror that spins and it plays music and has stars that light up when you pull a string. I think you'll like it.

We put the Christmas tree up today. You like to look at the lights on the it. This Christmas will be a lot of fun with you here. I am so excited.

You are still discovering your hands. Sometimes you rub your eyes when you are sleepy.

Your eyes are focusing really well. You can even track objects that move in front of you. You've begun to grab things that are placed in front of you. You even grab my hair!! You were sitting in your carry seat just holding your blanket. It was so cute.

You've even begun putting some things in your mouth. You try to suck your thumb but you haven't quite figured it out.

We think you might be starting to teethe. Today we gave you a cool teething ring and you seemed to like it. You didn't really chew on it but you liked the coolness of it. I am sure it felt good on your gums. It will be very painful once you begin teething but we'll have medicine to help ease the pain. Hopefully it won't take long once it starts.

I am so proud of how well you are doing. I love you so much. It's been a busy week, but you are doing great.
You are still sleeping really well, which is good because I've been really tired this week since your grandma and grandpa have been in town. Hopefully we'll all get some rest this weekend and next week will be better.

I love you, Jesse!!!

November 22, 2007

Today we celebrated your first thanksgiving!! Thanksgiving is a holiday where we celebrate the Pilgrims coming to America and we think about all the things we are thankful for. Your Nana cooks a turkey and some stuffing. Everyone else brings a side dish and we all eat together at Grammy's house.
You did so well.

You took three naps!! I laid down with you for a little while because I was tired too. The whole family was there and they all took turns holding and feeding you. It was a busy day but you did so well.

We even got a picture of you with your Uncle Tom. He lives in a special place for older people because he can't do certain things by himself. He is a very nice uncle and he thinks you are so handsome!!

Maybe next Thanksgiving you will be able to eat some of the wonderful food. I love you so much!!

November 18, 2007

I've been reading to you every night. On Thursday, I decided to start reading the Bible to you. I have a Bible that lets you read the whole Bible in one year. By this time next year you will have listened to me read the whole Bible to you. This will be the first time I've ever read the whole Bible -- and we're doing it together!

I want you to know how much God loves you and how much mommy and daddy love God. It is so important to us that you learn about God's love and how He sent his only son to die for you. We've been praying for you each night since you were born (and even before you were born). We took you to church again today. The ladies that teach your class say that you are a very good boy and they enjoy having you.

One day you will ask Jesus to be your savior just like mommy and daddy have. I can't wait for that day. I love you so much!!! You are my precious little boy!!

November 16, 2007

You are 10 weeks old today. I am so amazed at how fast you are growing. You are officially in stage 2 diapers. You are beginning to wear your 3-6 month clothes even though they are a little big.

You like to help hold your bottle and sometimes you hold our thumbs to make sure we don't take your bottle away from you.

You have been sleeping on your tummy for a week now. You are sleeping very well at night. You go to sleep around 8:30 and you usually wake up around 5am (that's still night time for me) and then you usually go back to sleep til 8am. Most of the time I put you in bed with me after I feed you at 5. Daddy says you like to cuddle with me way to much - but that's ok. I love to cuddle with you. When you wake up in the morning you lay there and just smile at me. You are such a happy baby.

You are talking alot now. We make noises back at you when you "talk" to us. The "experts" say that cooing back and forth teaches you about taking turns when you talk.

You are holding your head up better now. You move a lot while you are sleeping. Sometimes you turn all the way around! Last night I had to move you because you had wiggled to the corner of your bed! Soon you will be crawling - that will be a lot of fun.

I think you are discovering your hands. You make fists and hold them up in front of your eyes. You can grab your passy and pull it out but you have a hard time putting back in your mouth.

You are growing so fast. You don't have a baby face anymore, you are beginning to look a like a little man now. You are so cute. I love you so much.

November 11, 2007

We took you to church this morning for the first time. We go to Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula. Your Daddy and I met there almost 10 years ago!!

You did very well. You are in room WC8. I am not sure who your teacher was but she said you did very well and you are such a good boy. They can't wait to see you next week!!

When you are older, you will get to make crafts about the bible stories you learn in Sunday School.

I love you so much!!!

November 9, 2007

I can't believe that you are 2 months old!!! You had your first round of shots on Wednesday. They made you a little cranky, but that's okay. You weigh 12 pounds 3 ounces and your height is 23 inches. You are growing so, so fast. Probably in another week you'll be in stage 2 diapers. I love you so much!!!

I found out last Friday that I will be able to stay home with you full time. I am so excited. I took you down to my old office in Conyers to tell my boss that I wasn't coming back. All the ladies in the office thought you were so handsome.

You are holding your head up better now and soon you'll be sitting all by yourself! The doctor says we can let you sleep on your tummy now. You like sleeping on your tummy.

You are cooing more often. When you are in your swing you coo at the animals in the mobile. It is so cute.

We've been laying you on a palate on the living room floor. You've begun to move around. I laid you in the middle and by the end of your nap you were on the edge. When you sleep in your crib you turn all the way around!!! You are such a wiggle worm. Soon you'll be crawling and then we'll really have our hands full!!!

We were going to take you to church last Sunday but you woke up with a fever so we had to stay home. We'll try again next Sunday!

We love you so very much!!! You are so amazing!

November 2, 2007

It's hard to believe that next Wednesday you'll be two months old. You have grown so much.

You had your first Halloween and we dressed you up as tigger, you looked so cute. We even let you lick a lollipop. You were so funny.

You smile a lot - especially when we talk to you. You love to stare at us. You are growing so fast. I love you so very much. You are my precious little boy.

October 26, 2007

This week you've begun to coo. it is so cute. you also blow bubbles - a lot!! You're holding your head up more and more. Soon you'll be able to sit up on your very own. You are growing so fast. It is absolutely amazing!!!

October 19, 2007

This week you've discovered your tongue. You make all kinds of noises with it. You even stick it out! It is so cute.

You are such a good boy! I love to just sit and watch you. You are my amazing little miracle!! I love you so very much!

October 12, 2007

You are one month old now. I can't believe how fast you are growing.

You've gained two pounds and have moved out of newborn diapers and into stage 1 diapers. You've started to grab things - like my hair and your passy. You've started sleeping longer at night and staying awake longer during the day. You are such a good boy - and handsome too. I love you so much!!!

I took you to Grammy's school and she got to show you off to all of her co-workers. She is so proud to be a grandma. She loves you so much! Tonight you are going back to Grammy's for a little while. Grammy and Gramps love having you over.

October 5, 2007

You are almost 1 month old. I can't believe it. You are beginning to smile more now - usually when your doing your business. :)

You've been sleeping in your room for almost a week now. you are doing so good. You are such a happy baby.

I love you so very much!!!

September 28, 2007

We had a great week. Daddy was home all week and we had so much fun hanging out with you. We had your pictures made on Tuesday and you did so well. You are so photogeneic. Your pictures were beautiful. You are such a handsome boy. I can't believe that you are all mine. I just sit and stare at you. You are amazing - my little miracle.

You are growing so fast. I can't believe it's been three weeks. Sometimes I get sad because I want you stay little for a while. But I know we're going to have lots of fun as you grow up. I love you so much!!!

Spetmeber 22, 2007

Daddy took care of you all night because I didn't feel well. Grammy came over this morning to help out. When she left I got really sick and daddy had to take us to the hospital. The doctor said I had a kidney infection. He gave me some medicine and sent us home.

You were such a good boy while I was sick!

I love you so much!!

September 21, 2007

Another week has passed. Daddy has all of next week off and we are going to hang out - just the three of us. I made an appointment for you to have your pictures made next Tuesday.
I am still tired a lot - you keep me up at night - but it's okay. We're still learning each other - a process that will probably take a lifetime - but I'm up for it.

You are amazing. It's hard to believe that you were in my tummy and now you are here - it truly is a miracle. I am so thankful for you. I love you so much.

Tonight you are going to Grammy and Gramps house while mommy and daddy go to dinner. Nana and Papa are coming up to see you.

Oh, Jesse - I love you so very much!! I had no idea I could love someone so much!! You are my precious little boy!! I love you!!!

Spetember 14, 2007

It's hard to believe that you are one week old! It's been an exhausting week. I've had to take you to the hospital each day to have your billirubin levels checked because you had jaundice. That's where your kidneys aren't expelling the leftover billirubin as quickly as they should. It turns your skin a yellowish orange color. It's not harmful - most babies get it. Today was the first day we didn't have to go. It was our first day at home together - just you and me. I thoroughly enjoyed just being at home with you.

Because of the jaundice, the doctor wants me to feed you every two hours - so I haven't been getting a lot of sleep at night but I get to take naps with you during the day. You are the sweetest baby.

I love you so much. You are truly amazing!

September 7, 2007

You arrived at 1:12 this afternoon. I pushed for 2 and a half hours - it made me very tired.

You are the most beautiful baby boy in the world!!! I can't believe it's over and your here. I love you so much.

After you were born the nurses took you to the nursery for a bath. Grammy, Gramps, Uncle Andrew and Uncle Aaron went to watch. Daddy stayed with mommy while the doctor finished up.

They moved us to a room upstairs and we waited for them to bring you to us.

We spent the rest of the day holding you. You had a few visitors - Nana and Papa and Matt, Amy, Nick, James and Sarah.

You are such a handsome boy. I can't believe that you are here and you're all mine. I love you so much!!!

September 6, 2007

We've been at the hospital for about 5 hours now. I am hooked up to monitors that tell us what your heart rate is and how long and strong the contractions are. The nurse should be in a little while to check the progress and see about how much longer it might be.
I can't wait for you to arrive. We are so excited.

September 2, 2007

I am so ready for you to be here. God has worked out some pretty awesome things. I will be able to be home with you for 12 whole weeks and then I'll have to work part-time for a few weeks, then in January - I should be able to be home with you full time. I am so excited. I can't wait to finally hold you. I love you so much!

August 23, 2007

My precious little boy - I can't wait to finally see your face. The days seem to be flying by. I am so ready for you to be here. Only 2 more weeks!! Saturday Grammy and I are going to Babies R Us to buy a few more things for you.

The doctor says you are growing strong. You are around 19 inches long - which would be hard to believe since my belly isn't that big - but my ribs are feeling every inch of you. Sometimes I think that you think my ribs are made of rubber. You kick hard sometimes. But it's ok. You weight at least 6 pounds now and are continuing to grow bigger each day.
I love you so much and can not wait for you to arrive.

August 2, 2007

My precious little boy! Life around this house has been crazy the past few weeks. You are a wiggler - constantly on the move. My belly jiggles like jello.

The doctor says you are doing great. You weigh about 4 and a half pounds and your heartbeat is strong and steady. Most all of your development is complete - just some fine tuning and you still need to gain some weight. You should be here in about 5 weeks. I am so excited. Daddy has almost finished one week of paramedic school. He enjoys being home each evening and I know he is excited about your arrival.

God has worked some miracles around here and it looks like I will get to spend at least 8 weeks at home with you - maybe even 12 weeks. I have been working for Miss Connie from home for a few months now and there is a good possibility that I will be able to stay at home with you a lot. We just keep praying about it and trusting God to work out the details.

I am so excited and I can not wait for you to get here. I love you so much!!!!

July 22, 2007

I guess I am officially waddling now. The last few weeks I've waddled because my back has been hurting. But - now my back feels fine but daddy says I still waddle. He calls me Waddles. :)

Other than waddling, everything else is going great. Only 7 weeks!!!
You are about 14 inches long and weigh about 4 pounds. Everything is going well. We can't wait til you arrive.

July 21, 2007

Aunt Amy threw a beautiful shower for you today. We got a lot of nice things for you. Miss Sue made you a beautiful quilt with your name on it. We played funny games and ate cake.

You don't know how many people love you and can't wait to meet you!!! Everyone is so excited!

July 19, 2007

Tonight we got to tour the hospital. Grammy was supposed to go to class with me because daddy had to work. But Grammy was in Colorado so Auntie Nita went with me. You will be born at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. It is a very nice hospital.

You are getting more active and you mostly kick me in the ribs!!! I bet you are running out of space in my tummy. Not too much longer - only 7 weeks until you arrive!!!

July 12, 2007

We started Lamase Classes at the hospital tonight. They teach us what to expect when you arrive. The classes are kind of boring and daddy just makes jokes. We got to meet the other mommys and daddys and we had to tell them if we were having a boy or a girl and what the first thing we wanted to do with you was. Daddy said he wanted to flick you on the nose. Don't worry - I won't let him do it.
We can't wait til you arrive!!!

June 23, 2007

We got to see you again today!!! You are so handsome!!! I think you look like Andrew and Aaron - your uncles.
We only got one good picture. The others are okay but you wouldn't cooperate very well. You were trying to hide from us! That's okay.

You weigh about 2 and a half pounds and everything looks great. You are developing right on track and all of your organs look good.

It won't be long now!!

June 15, 2007

Today marks the beginning of the seventh month. You will be here in 13 weeks. It is also mine and daddy's 5th wedding anniversary.

We are so excited about your arrival. Hopefully we'll get to see a picture of you next week!!! I can't til you arrive.

I love you!!!!

June 13, 2007

You have been with us for nearly 27 weeks now. It's so hard to believe that that much time has passed and you will be here very soon.

I have been playing music for you. I think you like it. When I play the music you move around like crazy. Daddy says you're trying to get away from it, but I don't think so.

I can not wait for you to arrive. I am so excited. Everything will be wonderful - I promise. There are so many people who love you and care for you.

Hopefully, next week we'll be able to see a picture of you. I can't wait to see you again.

Keep growing and getting stronger. I love you!!!!

June 8, 2007

You're about 14.4 inches long. They say we may be able to hear your heart beat throung my belly.

You are moving a lot now. Last Wednesday, you were doing flips. If felt very weird!!

There is only about 98 days left!!!
Everyone is getting very excited. We have another ultrasound on Tuesday morning. I can't wait to see how different you look now.

Keep growing strong - I love you!!!!

May 29, 2007

Only 108 days to go!!!!

I am so excited! Daddy and I cleaned out the room that will be your play room the other day. You already have so many stuffed animals - some are mine and some are daddy's.

Daddy is working today and I washed the dogs and did a little more cleaning. Tomorrow I'll probably go to Grammy's pool for a little while, while daddy is at work.

I can't wait for you to arrive. I am waiting to hear back from Miss Connie, she's the lady that want me to work for her from our house!!! I am really praying that God will allow me to stay at home with you and still make money for the family.

Oh - Jesse! I love you so much!

May 26, 2007

We had our first shower yesterday! Grammy's fifth grade class brought you lots of fun things. We got diapers, wipes, clothes and gift cards!

We went to Babies R Us and finished our registry yesterday too. We found two very cute fire fighter outfits for you.

There is only about 17 weeks left until you arrive! Not long now. We can't wait!

We love you Jesse Ryan!

May 24, 2007

You are 23 weeks, 6 days old. You weigh about 1 pound maybe a little more. You're body is almost completely formed. Now you just need to gain some weight. You kick more often and it's easier for daddy to feel you move. Daddy likes to shake my belly and try to wake you up. We both love you so much!

I have been very busy cleaning the house. I will probably shampoo the carpet in your room before you arrive so your room will be perfect for you when we bring you home.

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he said you have a very strong heart beat.

I went to have lunch with daddy and I bought you a few outfits while I was out.

Tomorrow Grammy's class is throwing a baby shower for you.

We love you so much and cannot wait for you to arrive.

You only have about 117 days until you arrive. You are getting bigger and your kicks are stronger.

Grammy's class is giving us a shower on Friday - it will be our first one. Daddy's at work today, so I've been cleaning the house.

I love you so much and cannot wait for your arrival. We are so excited!

I can feel you kicking more often now. It's very cool!

I can't wait until you arrive. We are so excited! God is already working things out - maybe I'll be able to stay at home with you. Who knows?
God does great things when we ask.

Jesse - I love you so much. I cannot wait until we bring you home. You will love it here. I cannot express the joy I feel.

Keep growing and getting stronger. You eyelids, eyebrows and lip are now forming. It won't be too much longer now. I love you!

Your Grammy is so good to you. Mommy found a fire fighter blanket and bib set and your Grammy bought it for you. She sure does love you.

I love you too!!!

Daddy got to feel you kicking today!!!!
It was very exciting. We were watching a movie and mommy told him to lay his hand on my belly and it didn't take long before you kicked him. We both laughed. You kicked several more times - then I had to get up to finish the laundry.

We love you so much and cannot wait for your arrival.

We're half way there. You are now 20 weeks and beginning to move more frequently and more noticeably.

It won't be long now.

April 23, 2007

Your fire fighter bedding arrived today. Your room is beginning to come together.

We are so excited and can hardly wait to see you.

April 14, 2007

We ordered the furniture for your room. Grandma and Grandpa and Grammy and Gramps bought it for you! Everyone is so excited about your arrival!

April 9, 2007

I think of you often - I wish I could see right through my belly and look at you everyday!

I can't wait until you arrive. All I want to do is hold you and spend time with you.

I love you!

My precious Jesse, I love you so much. I can't wait to finally see you. I love to sit and look at your ultrasounds. You are such a handsome boy.

Grandma Austin and Grammy are buying the furniture for your nursery this week. Once it arrives, daddy and I will set everything up and then we'll wait for you.

We love you so much and cannot wait for you to arrive.

April 4, 2007

Daddy picked out the paint for your nursery and we painted today. Daddy did most of the painting. Now all we need is the furniture.

Everything is coming together. We're just waiting on you. Keep growing stronger.
We love you!

Grammy and I went to the doctor to hear your heartbeat again while daddy stayed at home and painted your room.
Grammy was very excited to hear her first grandson's heartbeat.

The doctor says your heartbeat is still very strong. You'll be growing faster now. I am pretty sure I've felt you moving. It feels like a little tickle and sometimes like a pop.

April 3, 2007

We found out today that you'll be Jesse Ryan. We are so excited. Grammy and Gramps are excited too.

Just a few more months and you'll finally be here.

March 24, 2007

It's hard to believe that 3 weeks have passed since I last wrote to you. You are now 15 weeks old. You are about 4.5 inches long and your finger nails have formed. It will probably be another 4 weeks or so until we find out if you're a boy or a girl.

At the last doctor's vist, we heard your heartbeat. The doctor says you have a very strong heartbeat. Your eyes and ears are still developing and a soft hair like structure now covers your body. My belly is definitely getting bigger. We cannot wait until you arrive. We are so excited. Each day our excitement grows.

You have so many people who love you and can't wait to meet you. Somedays it feels like September will never get here, yet I can't believe you are already 15 weeks. We love you so much!
